Testimonials

The testimonies graduates of the MBA Wine & Spirits program

Married

”First of all, why AIVA?”

What motivated me to join AIVA was, above all, the constant contact with professionals in the wine and trade industries.

After my BTS Viticulture/Oenology apprenticeship in the Champagne region, I needed to find an establishment where I could further develop my skills in tastings, sales techniques and business management.

This Academy allows us to study with small class sizes and to professionalize ourselves with very comprehensive courses that allow us to progress quickly.

All this in a friendly atmosphere with teachers who are always attentive.“

Married

”"Having completed a DUT in biology and wanting to move into the wine trade, the degree offered by AIVA provides me with a lot of new knowledge, whether in tasting, accounting, management…"

Furthermore, we are in a small group, which facilitates interaction with the teachers and allows for almost private lessons in order to better understand and succeed.“

Zian

”After obtaining my BTS Technico-commercial en Vins et Spiritueux in Montpellier, I decided to continue my studies in order to improve my skills in this sector.
So I chose the Bac+3 program at AIVA.

AIVA was a very good opportunity and met my expectations.

Most of the teachers are former professionals in the field. They teach us in a pragmatic way, readily sharing their experiences and knowledge.

It's a very interesting and enriching teaching method!

The courses offered by AIVA are primarily taught in small groups. This allows students to have a close relationship with their instructors, and therefore to understand the material more easily. There is also a great deal of mutual support and solidarity among the students.

As for the way the training works, all the courses are varied and the pace of work is pleasant: 3 hours in the morning and 3 hours in the afternoon for theory from September to February, followed by five months of immersion in a company.
The school's extensive network of contacts and partners allows us to choose the company that best suits our needs (export, marketing, commerce, etc.).
The education provided allows students to acquire real skills in management, commerce, national and international marketing, as well as in the knowledge of wines, beers and spirits.

The Academy provides everything needed to succeed. This way of learning has inspired me to continue my studies in a similar environment.

That's why I'm continuing my studies at AIVA with the MBA 1 program!”

Chloe

”"Wanting to switch to a career in business after completing my DUT in Chemistry, I discovered AIVA. It was a way to combine my love of wine with my desire to take business courses.".

Starting from scratch following a scientific education, I was able, thanks to the help of the teaching staff and professional speakers, to acquire a great deal of knowledge.

The atmosphere in the classroom is friendly and based on mutual support; there is no competition, unlike in other schools.”

Clemency

”After a preparatory class for HEC and a first year in business school, I chose to join the Double Degree Bac+3 at AIVA to specialize and with the aim of growing my family business in the wine trade.

AIVA is a young school; I appreciate the small class sizes because the work is much more productive, the teachers are dedicated and passionate about what they do, and the tasting and oenology courses are very enriching, whether it's about wines or spirits.“

Timothy

”With a background in sommelier work in the hotel and restaurant industry, I turned to AIVA to acquire the necessary knowledge to enter the world of retail. They met my expectations during my year in the dual Bachelor's degree program (Bac+3) in Wines and Spirits. I then decided to continue with them in an MBA program to deepen my understanding of import-export. In parallel, I work for the company "Vins de Propriétés et Châteaux de France," which placed its trust in me and trained me in the retail sector. Passionate about the brewing industry, I am pursuing a project to develop and promote craft brewers in supermarkets.

We are therefore developing partnerships with various Alsatian breweries in order to better represent them in stores, such as Brasserie Perle, Brasserie 3 mats, etc…“

Maxim

”I come from a BTS viticulture/oenology in Charente, today my goal is to specialize in the trade and marketing of wines as well as spirits.

That's why I chose AIVA for its professionalism but also for its close relationship with students thanks to small class sizes.“

Valentin

”"In order to continue my initially technical studies in the field of wine, I turned to AIVA which offers a professionalizing pedagogy.

Indeed, the internship provides a complete immersion in the profession, with training supervised by professionals from the wine industry. You learn a great deal in a friendly yet professional atmosphere.“

Guillaume

”"Wishing to continue my studies in the commercial sector of the wine industry, AIVA was in line with my objectives, in an ideal setting to develop academically and professionally.

Following this training where we met many professionals, I was able to do an internship in a trading company.

The emphasis is on tasting. What better way to learn about a wine region than by tasting its wines directly?“

Jeremy

”An enriching year of sharing, both technically and personally.

This year I completed the dual degree program at AIVA, with a view to a career change. Indeed, having already earned a degree in business and marketing, my wish was to find a fulfilling path in sales within the wine, beer and spirits industry.

The meeting and exchanges with all the professionals who guided and structured this course, as well as sharing with my classmates from all backgrounds, gave me a lot of meaning and determination.

Having completed this training, I now feel more confident and prepared to pursue my professional life in the wine industry.“

Victor

”Following a BTS Technico-commercial en vins et spirits completed through an apprenticeship in a champagne house, I wanted to continue my studies in this field which I am passionate about.

So, I naturally chose AIVA, which allowed me to complete a double degree, a diploma that perfectly matched my career goals. The internship allows us to put into practice what we learn during the training, which is designed to be rich in encounters and discoveries.“

Tom

”AIVA is a human-sized school, where exchanges take place in small groups, with professionals from the world of commerce and wine, which really facilitates learning and understanding.

The primary objective is to immerse ourselves in the experience of each participant, with the aim of learning from everyone's experiences. The wine section, which includes a study of all French wine regions, emphasizes tastings, with several dozen tastings per week.

The different approaches to wine from professionals allow us to better understand all the complexities that govern this world.

By joining AIVA, we are simply given the tools to progress in the best possible way in our professional journey.”

Thomas

”After my BTS in Viticulture and Oenology, which I completed through a work-study program at a prestigious Bordeaux winery, I was looking for additional professional training that would give me extra skills in terms of wine knowledge.

I am very happy and satisfied with the program; the teaching staff is very professional, they know how to inspire you and give you a taste for wine.

Small class sizes are incredibly enriching and will allow you to progress very quickly!“

Emma

”After completing a BTS in International Trade in La Rochelle, I decided to join AIVA to specialize in wines and spirits. Currently at AIVA, I can say that I have learned a tremendous amount!”

I had the opportunity to visit some estates, including a few that were very unusual, it was fun! The great thing about the school is that we are in small groups, which is great for being able to ask all the necessary questions and to be able to progress at a good pace.
But above all, by coming to Alsace, I had the chance to make some wonderful acquaintances.

A huge shout-out to Team LP 2020-2021, they'll know who they are, I wish us all the best!“
