General Terms and Conditions of Sale

Article 1 - Purpose

All orders placed for a product with the International Wine Academy in Alsace (hereinafter referred to as AIVA) imply the customer's full and unreserved acceptance of these general terms and conditions of sale, which he acknowledges having read prior to placing his order.

These general terms and conditions of sale may be modified at any time by AIVA.

 

Article 2 - Price

The price of products delivered by AIVA is shown on our website in euros, inclusive of all taxes. Multilingual display and currency conversion are available.

AIVA reserves the right to change the prices of its products at any time.

Article 4 - Postponement and Cancellation

For WSET students:

  • Cancellation of a candidate's participation in the course must be communicated to AIVA by email. This cancellation must be made at least 15 business days before the start of the course. Otherwise, no refund will be issued*. Once the cancellation procedure has been accepted and confirmed, the refund will be processed within 15 business days.
  • If the candidate is unable to attend the course, he or she may retain his or her place for the next course, or assign his or her place to another person, provided that he or she notifies 15 working days before the start of the course.
  • If a student cancels their course participation less than 15 business days in advance, they will be required to pay a €15 cancellation fee. This fee covers the late cancellation of their exam registration. Payment must be made within 15 days of AIVA's official notification to the candidate. Failure to pay will result in the student's suspension from the course until the debt is settled.
  • AIVA reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course up to 20 days before its start date if a minimum number of registered students is not reached or in exceptional circumstances. If a course is postponed, AIVA will inform its students of the new time and dates for the course. If these dates are not suitable for the student, the fees will be refunded.

 

For AIVA events:

  • Cancellation of a candidate's participation in the course must be communicated to AIVA by email. This cancellation must be made at least 10 days before the start of the course. Otherwise, no refund will be issued*. Once the cancellation procedure has been accepted and confirmed, the refund will be processed within 10 days.
  • If the candidate is unable to attend the course, he or she may retain his or her place for the next course, or assign his or her place to another person, provided that he or she notifies 10 days before the start of the course.
  • AIVA reserves the right to cancel or postpone a course up to 24 hours before its scheduled start date if a minimum number of registered students is not reached or in exceptional circumstances. If a course is postponed, AIVA will inform its students of the new time and dates for the course. If these dates are not suitable for the student, the fees will be refunded.

 

* AIVA reserves this right, because in accordance with article L 121-20-4 of the consumer code, activities with a fixed date such as courses are not subject to a right of withdrawal.

 

Article 5 - Intellectual Property

All texts, comments, works, illustrations and images reproduced on the website www.aiva-eu.com  These materials are protected by copyright and intellectual property rights. As such, and in accordance with the provisions of the Intellectual Property Code, only use for private purposes is permitted, subject to any different or more restrictive provisions of the Intellectual Property Code.

Any other use constitutes infringement and is punishable under Intellectual Property law. Any reproduction, in whole or in part, of the website www.aiva-eu.com is strictly prohibited.
