Saverne welcomes future sommeliers, salespeople, business leaders… from the International Wine Academy in Alsace, thanks to the creation of superb accommodations!
Construction of the first phase, comprising 100 studios and apartments, is about to begin on the former site of the Claude Chappe high school. Located in a residential area with views of the beautiful Haut-Barr mountain range, students will enjoy a peaceful setting.
And that's not all, because the renovation of 35 studios and apartments at the Maison Saint Florent in Saverne, a former religious enclosure, is planned with delivery in spring 2019! It is in buildings with walls full of history and in a timeless garden, cut off from the rest of the world, that the students of AIVA, the institute of wine professions, will be able to live and spend their best moments in complete tranquility.
No less than fifteen companies from the Saverne area are working on this intense construction and renovation project, to create housing with all the necessary comforts.
Life in Saverne, with its bars, sports, restaurants, and events, is both inspiring and festive, and the arrival of wine enthusiasts from all over the world will only enhance this dynamic. Bus connections from the Bas-Rhin network linking Saverne to AIVA are also being established. Students have the opportunity to study in a natural setting while remaining connected to major cities like Strasbourg, thanks to train and bus lines.
David Heitz, carpenter-cabinetmaker and coordinator of works at Maison Saint Florent, is very optimistic about these future developments in the region.
