From the 1980s onward, the wines of the "New World" arrived: the USA, Argentina, Australia, and many others made a remarkable entry into the list of major wine producers, both in terms of quantity and quality.

But there is another category. From the 2010s onwards, we began to talk about the "New Old World." What does this oxymoron conceal? Quite simply, countries whose wine production is as old as Methuselah (literally!), but whose tumultuous history has meant that these wines have remained largely unknown until now.
